KitchenAid Australia’s poor after-sale support
I love the product. Unfortunately I jammed it and the sacrificial drive shaft connector that is designed to snap and stop the rollers crushing fingers etc did indeed break. All my fault and that should be no problem as three screws are all that is required to be undone to slide out the broken part and replace with a new one.
BUT KitchenAid Australia don’t stock the part. They just suggested I buy a whole new roller. Totally unacceptable. I have had to order the part from the US. Really annoying and the people I spoke to were embarrassingly uninformed about heir own products and the role that the part plays in ensuring safety in use of the rollers.

Declining quality
I have used a kitchenaid for more than 12 years.
I purchased a pasta roller set about 8 years ago and it lasted well for 6 years then unfortunately a teatowel got caught in the roller and it failed understandably.
I purchased a new roller which failed after the 4th or 5th use, after 13 months .
Kitchenaid "graciously" replaced the roller despite it being 1month out of warranty.
The replacement failed on the 3rd use and less than 9 months after I recieved it.
Kitchenaid were less gracious this time and refused to stand behind their product.
My three batches of pasta were very expensive with the roller costing more than $120.
I cannot recommend the new batch of pasta rollers and will be buying an alternative brand.
Very dissapointed.

So far so good
It is somewhat unfair to ask for a review after a week or so of receiving an item that one wants to use with joy for years. I have had two marcato atlas pasta machines and for each the rollers lost alignment , ending up unparallel with each other. This caused the pasta sheet to be squashed to one side , especially on thinner settings. I really really hope this will not happen with the kitchenaid attachment. The first two uses were satisfying and a joy to use. Perhaps later I can revise my rating from a three star (sitting on the fence) to a five star rating. Durability is a matter of sustainability. Products that fail also waste a lot of energy and material as well as consumer confidence. I hope kitchenaid will meet the durability test.

Fabulous
I have had a manual pasta roller for 25 years, which does the job nicely, however Wow! My KitchenAid pasta roller makes making my own pasta sheets so easy. It is so quick and I have two hands to handle the sheet, instead of having one hand turning the handle. Love it so much have purchased one for my daughter. Loving my Kitchaid stand mixer as well.

Easy set-up, Easy to use
I was gifted a stand mixer, and then discovered I could buy all of these attachments!
I had never made my own pasta before, but it was so simple to roll it out with this attachment, I just can't imagine how anyone could use a manual machine! The key thing is to make sure your pasta is the right consistency - too damp/wet and it WILL stick. If it does, then stop rolling, add some more flour to your pasta, and then roll. My only regret is buying this stand alone and not in the bundle with the cutters - we never eat dried pasta in this house now!
Wonderful attachment and highly recommended!

Super easy to use
Only used this once but it helped me make super delicious ravioli! Because of where it sits on the KitchenAid it frees up a lot of bench space underneath too so you can just put your sheets of pasta straight down onto a board. :)

Locking mechanism in wrong place.
I have the 3 piece pasta roller and cutter set. The cutters fit the machine fine, but the roller set has the hole for the screw to lock it on the stand mixer in the wrong spot, so it can not be locked on the machine properly. As a result, the roller can (and does) work its way off the shaft enough so that the whole thing spins round violently. This is a manufacturing fault, not a wear and tear fault, but since it was a long time from getting the attachment to actually using it, KitchenAid will do nothing about the issue. I find that pretty poor!

So easy to use
Used this for the first time yesterday, it was so easy to use. Prawn, chilli and garlic with a dash of vodka on fresh fettuccine. Yum! I wish I'd bought the cutters too, so that's my next purchase!
