The cooking pot is made of ceramic and features a non-stick coating for easy cleaning. The removable water tank is made of BPA-free plastic.
No need to worry about the excess water weight throwing off the scale. The cooker has a specific option on its touchscreen menu that lets you select whether you are using "dry" or "soaked" rice, ensuring the water ratio is perfectly adjusted either way.
Because the machine relies on the exact weight of the dry ingredients to dispense the correct amount of water, you should let the machine dispense the water first. Once the cooking cycle begins, you can open the lid to stir in bouillon, seasonings, or oils.
