Product Safety Recall - Kettle
In 2018, KitchenAid issued a recall regarding the KitchenAid Electric Kettle 1.7L with the following model numbers*:
5KEK1722AAC
5KEK1722AER
5KEK1722AOB
5KEK1722ACU
5KEK1722ASX
*Please note this only affects models sold between November 2013 to February 2018. The affected models have serial numbers beginning with YA342XXXXX through YA724XXXXX. To check your serial number, please look at the bottom of your kettle.
Defect: The handle on the kettle may become loose or separate from the body of the kettle.
Hazard: If the handle detaches during use, a consumer could be scalded or burned. The defect has occurred and caused injuries to consumers.Â
In accordance with the ACCC, if you are in possession of an affected model, please cease using the product immediately. Please complete the kettle recall form below to arrange a full replacement of your kettle.
