Chipped coating- why is this design not improved?
I love my kitchen aid but the chipped coating on my dough hook has me fuming. It has ruined my meals to be crunching through grainy pasta and god knows what chemicals we are eating. Am I supposed to replace these after each chip? If so you’d have to sell a monthly subscription! Why can’t you sell a stainless steel hook of improve the resilience of the coating?

Dough Hook Dramas
My last review was rejected by Kitchenaid because it "did not meet guidelines". Here is my new review. I am very concerned that the dough hook coating is peeling off, resulting in white chips of plastic in my bread dough. This has happened twice now & I have had to buy replacement parts. I think this accessory needs to be recalled & replaced with a non degrading hook.

poor quality!dumb design!
I bought the mixer and it comes with this tilt dough hook which fell out during the process(I pulled the hook when installed it to make sure it's securely attached) and the hook skin's peeled off and I threw the whole dough!

Chipped coating
I'm disappointed at the the quality of this hook, especially that it comes with an expensive product. I bought the stand mixer 6 weeks ago and only started using the dough hook 3 weeks
ago and it had already chipped. I handwash it with a soft sponge and handle it with care.

Very poor quality
Both my dough hook and paddle are peeling. This big flake even came off itself as I was placing them for the photo! I can’t believe you want to charge me $62 + postage to replace each of them with the stainless steel versions which should have been standard to start with! I am seriously considering selling my machine and buying a different brand. I expected more for the premium price of the products.

Not good enough
This is just bad quality. The white coating ion the dough hook is just chipping off. I can't imagine how much of this rubbish has been ingested. When you buy a reasonably expensive home appliance like the KitchenAid mixer, you would expect much better quality of the accessories. I'm reluctant to pay for a replacement as it appears that it will just happen again.

Poor quality parts
Brought kitchenaid products for there quality, this is an example of how overpriced they are. Replacing my food processor soon, sure the motors are good but what the use of the parts don’t last. Crazy they are not listening to feedback on this one, I pealed all the paint if mine to avoid plaint flakes in food but have still had to throw it out.

Mine is chipping off too!
It was mother's day present from my husband and I only used less than 10times! My dough hook has also started to chip out. I also send an email to KitchenAid customer centre to claim the warranty however they even didn't reply my email. I waited for almost 2 weeks. Very shame. I didn't expect really poor quality on very expensive product.
