Ingredients
For Brown Sugar Syrup
- 4 oz. (1/2 cup/118 mL) water
- 115 g (1/2 cup/118 mL) brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For Shaken Espresso
- 2 shots freshly brewed espresso
- 4 oz. (1/2 cup/118 ml) oat milk
- 2 tsp. Brown Sugar Syrup
- 2 cups ice cubes, divided

- KitchenAid® Fully Automatic Espresso Machine
Method
- To make Brown Sugar Syrup, combine water and brown sugar into a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 7-10 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Let cool.
- Prepare the double shot of espresso into your favorite heatproof cup by tapping the drink selection icon and selecting “Espresso,” followed by tapping on the double shot icon. Press play to brew.
- Let the espresso cool 5-10 minutes.
- Add 1 cup ice to drink shaker or jar with lid. Add milk, espresso, and 2 tsp Brown Sugar Syrup. Top with lid and shake for 30 seconds or until well-chilled.
- Add other cup of ice to a tall glass and strain drink from shaker over the fresh ice.
