Great Mixer, difficult to get service!
I got this mixer just as the covid problems hit. It arrived in the post, and it had a major problem with the lifting arm. It kept getting stuck. I could get it up but it would only come down half way then suddenly as I was taking off the bowl it would drop and the handle swung and hit my hand. It took me two weeks before I was able to get into contact with KitchenAid, covid problems again, they were super helpful and I believe a replacement is on its way.
The baked goodies that I made with it, before it went back were fantastic. The bread was amazing. I am really looking forward to getting the replacement and to hurting my hand!

If you see it below retail price, GET IT.
Pros:
Great construction materials used, very sturdy.
Closest thing to a commercial quality mixer as you can get for home.
Included bowl cover is very handy.
Cons:
Can be a bit top heavy.
Can walk or wobble a lot when you knead bread or heavy dough on speed setting higher than 2.
The pouring shield isn't a tight fit to the metal bowl and feels weak and flimsy.
Don't come with a Flex Edge beater compare to other KitchenAid models.
The metal bowl is a bit hard to put it in but not a huge issue.
The bowl lift design is more familiar for people with commercial cooking backgrounds.
Overall:
Brought this model on Kogan for around $450, a bargain buy.
A good mixer that's close as it gets to the commercial models that you can have in your own home. It's a bit top heavy and don't knead heavy dough with it on speed setting higher than 2 or it'll wobble or walk leading to an accident.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
Received this as a birthday present and to say I'm blown away is an understatement.I have grown up with a wide range of stand mixers in my life and as soon as I used the KitchenAid I was honestly speechless. It is incredibly quiet you can speak at a normal level even when it is at a high speed. Before investing in the KPM5 I read a large amount of reviews about it and found many people to be complaining you had to scrape the bowl a number of times or you can't put dry ingredients in without lowering the bowl, i have found that to be completely false, yes you do have to scrape the bowl a few times (which can be fixed with the scraper attachment) but compared to many other brands of stand mixers it is definitely significantly less. overall my kitchenaid has blown me away and the more i use it the more it impresses me!!!

Repair service
I am extremely happy wish the customer care I received for my product. It had stopped working and I called up and was taken care of very efficiently and assured it would be picked up from my house and redelivered after it was fixed. It was only a week between pick up and drop off and is now working perfectly. Thank you so much for making it so easy! I love this product so much

I do not know yet how good it is
Brought it for a mothers day gift but on its first use to make pancakes for Mothers day breakfast it made horrible grinding screeching sounds. So tomorrow I shall ring and try to get it fixed, very diapointing. It is not the fist time we have had issues with KitchenAid, last year we brought Mother a KitchenAid Mixer with free gift but by the time that Mothers day came round it was too late to claim the Mother's day free gift.. They used to be great product's but I am not sure if I would recommend them anymore, sorry.

sound ready to give up
bought my unit about a month ago, i usually prepare 3 cups of dough and decided to add another cup and the machine sounded like it was about to give up just on speed 2. i stopped and had to continue kneading my dough manually. My last unit, which was a BOSCO lasted me 12 years always doing 6 cups, i have no intention of trying it with this unit as the engine sounds awful, or maybe i just got used to the power of my last one. I hope i can send you a video with audio to prove what im trying to say. will update

Bowl
The handle on KPM Bowl Lift Mixer bowl is not ergonomic friendly for the hand. It has sharps lines and a narrow grip. Whereas my SKSM150PS Mixer has a rounded grip and room for the your hand.
I use the KMP Bowl Lift Mixer mainly for bread making as it has a more powerful motor.
