Not as impressive as anticipated
The kettle we received had the issues with opening the lid that other reviews had noted.
Reported this to KitchenAid. We were told according to the serial number i
t was a later version and the problem had been addessed but they promptly replaced it with another one. The replacement one is also temperamental when opening. Grr...
Also the 'keep warm' feature is frustrating as you need to be at the kettle when it reaches the temp you want. It would be better to set it to reach a temp as you would with a thermostat. Then if you push the keep warm button the second you pick the kettle up to pour the first cup the feature switches off.
Kettle looks great, company service was great but, so far, i think it is a very fancy price for a water boiler.

Disappointed ☹️ from
Looks great but that’s it
Actually 5 stars for good looks and 0 points for functionality and service. My kettle has been malfunctioning (thermostat and cut off switch broken) since the first day it arrived and 3 weeks later I still haven’t heard back from A Kitchenaid representative regarding repair or replacement.

Stylish and full of Features BUT .......
Pretty Happy with this Kettle so far . Looks wise its a big ✅ Feature wise another big ✅ Quietness wise it seems to be quieter when fuller . The only little glitch we are having is opening the main lid ! It doesn't open easily ,we have developed a little way of getting around it but that is annoying . Fully intending to take it back for a replacement when we are out of this isolation period !For this reason I cannot give it 5 stars .

Amazing
So glad we purchased this to go with the KitchenAid Toaster! It's so handy, shows real time temperature and has the keep warm function which keeps it at the same temperature for 30 minutes.

Looks great
The best kettle I’ve used. Very elegant and super quick . Pop in button to open the lid is a bit temperamental. Beautiful blue light as it works in the window.

Great kettle!
I really like this kettle & it matches my toaster.
- my only thought is that it is noisier than my previous (other brand) kettle

Great quality jug with great features
This was a warranty replacement for a previous model due to a faulty lid. It took some time to get any response from the manufacturer, but I’m so far, really impressed with my new jug. It seems to have a sturdy lid (with a working push button release - no more burnt fingers) and also has all the previous features (just slightly upgraded).
No issues so far - which is already a great improvement.
It’s a bit on the expensive side, but I’m happy with the quality as it’s used several times a day (each) by 4 adults in the house.

Good product, but needs some more R&D
The kettle is well built with good features, and boils fast. However, I’ve been caught out a number of times by having to press the start button twice - first to turn it in and set the temp, then once again to boil it. The. Umber of times I just click start, it lights up blue, and then I walk away only to come back to a cold kettle is annoying.
The beeping at the end, while useful, is a bit of a cheap sound. I’d prefer something better that still indicates it’s boiled, but doesn’t sound like a ear thermometer!
And finally, the lid fails to open 9 times out of 10. I’ll probably need to send this one back under warranty.
That all said, it fees exceptionally well built (apart from the lid button), and boils fast and quietly. I’ll persist and see if I can get used to the minor annoyances :)
