KitchenAid technicians inspect and test all refurbished appliances to ensure proper electrical and mechanical operation. If any part is damaged or hinders functionality, the part is replaced during the refurbishing process. All other parts and components required for operation are replaced as needed to return the appliance to original electrical and mechanical condition. Refurbished KitchenAid appliances include a 1-year limited warranty* on parts and labor.

KitchenAid certified refurbished appliances are products that were returned after initial purchase. Sometimes the product is unused, other times the product has been lightly used. All appliances that undergo the refurbishment process are cleaned, inspected and tested to ensure original electrical and mechanical operation, as well as checked for any major cosmetic defects.

All parts and accessories required for operation are included with your KitchenAid certified refurbished appliance. Additional accessories not essential to operation may vary by unit. Some additional accessories may be purchased separately, depending on the product. Each refurbished appliance will also include all manuals and guides needed to operate the product such as Use and Care Guides or Quick Start Guides. Refurbished appliances are packaged carefully either in their original box, or new refurbished appliance packaging.

KitchenAid makes every attempt to reduce waste by reusing quality parts and accessories. All accessories required to operate your refurbished appliance are included. The exact accessories included will vary by individual unit and may vary from those included with new appliance purchases. This means you may receive an extra accessory such as an additional slicing disc for a food processor. Sometimes this means you will receive only the basic accessories required to operate your appliance. The accessory material may also vary by unit. For example, some refurbished stand mixers come with stainless steel accessories, while other units will include coated accessories. If your refurbished appliance does not include your ideal accessories, you can often purchase them separately.

KitchenAid technicians inspect every certified refurbished product for cosmetic defects such as scratches, blemishes, cracks, or stains. Parts with major cosmetic damage are replaced while minor cosmetic defects are repaired or minimized. Repaired scratches on the product body must be minor enough to pass a cloth over the surface without snagging. The entire product is then cleaned by hand inside and out before being carefully packaged and sent to your doorstep.

Each KitchenAid certified refurbished appliance is inspected and tested by a KitchenAid expert technician. When they have verified that the product is restored, the technician signs off with their individual identification number. This number appears on the bottom of stand mixers, or on the warranty card for all other appliances. This is your technician’s personal stamp of approval.
