Busy start to the new year? We've got your on the go breakfasts for those busy mornings sorted with this fruit-filled zero waste banana smoothie, packed with powerful nutrients.
2 bananas (peeled, sliced and frozen)
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp almond butter
1 cup almond or oat milk
Add all of the smoothie ingredients into a KitchenAid blender, place the lid on and blend until thick and smooth. More nut milk can be added if you prefer a runny smoothie. Pour into 2 glasses.
To make the almond cream, rinse the blender before adding the almond butter and the coconut yogurt. Place the lid on and blend until it is a smooth thick consistency. Depending on how thick the almond butter you are using, a little extra coconut yogurt or nut milk can be added.
To serve pour the almond cream over the top and swirl it through. Sprinkle over the top the cocoa nibs and toasted shaved coconut.
