Top on my list is that it can be held at boiling point which saves reboiling it from scratch when I'm ready for my second cuppa. Water heat is also adjustable with the push of a button if you don't want your water quite so hot. The toaster has lots of options but is easy to use. With the dual slots we don't have to coordinate cooking our toast any more and we can both have our toast at the shade that we prefer. It cooks crumpets to perfection and also has defrost setting (handy if you store your bread in the freezer) and a reheat setting if, like me, you tend to come back five minutes after your toast has popped. I was very disanoi ted to find out that the paint colors on the toaster and kettle are different shades. I know that does not effect the performance but when they are sold together I would have expected better especially from kitchenAid.
