Half a product is all you get!
Although the product is called a Spice & Coffee Grinder, all that comes in the box is the coffee grinder. The parts for spice grinding are shown in the user manual but are not included in the box and there is no indication of how one can get them, neither in the user manual nor the website. Was looking forward to grinding my own spices, but obviously that was wishful thinking. Haven't actually tried grinding coffee beans yet so can't comment on its performance. Just a bit upset about getting half an advertised product at this stage, which of course can be considered false advertising.

Not up to the usual KitchenAid standard
The product is falsely labelled "Spice and Coffee Grinder" and the instruction book shows the parts used to grind spices, but they are not included in the box. I have found the coffee doesn't grind fine enough for a stove-top percolator, regardless of how long it is blitzed for. The coffee grounds build up under the blade, which stops it from mixing through the depth of the bowl to grind the remainder. As the lid doesn't seal (it is more of a cover), flecks of coffee end up escaping and make it to the motor drive, which is fiddly to clean after use.
As a long time KitchenAid user, this product just does not live up to the normal exceptional standards of the brand. This was given to me as a gift, so I can't even return it for not being fit for use.

Broken blade within few times of use
I bought this grinder and only used approximately 3 times for grinding coffee and spices. it is messy however when I used it to grind some chilly it filled the kitchen with ground chilly then eventually what’s so called stainless steel blade broke into two pieces as per photo, not a quality product, the blade is tin and not stainless, cheap plastic. I recommend Aldi or Kmart cheap grinder over this, I have been grinding my herbs and spices on my Aldi $10 grinder for years and have never ever seen a blade that break down like this.

Poor grinding, poor performance
Purchased the KitchenAid grinder after purchasing a coffee machine without a grinder.
I decided to go with the KitchenAid grinder as they have a decent Branding and the price was ok at the time.
The issue and flaw to this KitchenAid grinder is it builds up at the bottom and fails to grind evenly.
I have gone out now, and purchased a Breville coffee grinder, over the KitchenAid grinder.
“Will be disposing of the KitchenAid grinder”
Disappointed about this purchase as the other KitchenAid products I have are good: mixer, blender (it’s fantastic) and food processer.

Doesn't grind coffee fine enough
I was disappointed and not able to use it as a coffee grinder which is what I bought it for. I had my doubts that it would grind fine enough. I was told in the shop that it would and even rang Kitchenaid before I used it, but I was unable to return it. The ratings that I was required to select below arn't really relevant as I haven't used it other than to try it for coffee. It is probably fine for herbs and I love my other Kitchenaid products but this does not grind fine enough for reusable coffee pods.

Poor operation
I tried to grind some spicy, I fortunately the spicy goes everywhere and made kitchen messy. I returned to store because I am not happy with it.

It does not ground coffee finely enough
I purchased this a few weeks ago and tested it with some coffee beans. The ground coffee was so big no matter how much I ground it. I made some coffee using an electric filter and it came out almost only water.

It does the job with oomph
I just bought this and while the design is not everything I was looking for the power and results of the grinder are outstanding.
