Rated 4 out of 5 by Chezza03 from A Classic mixer that will last a lifetime I love my Kitchenaid mixer. It’s sleek black finish and classical design is just beautiful. I’m just getting to learn the workings of the machine having used handheld beaters for so long. It’s a welcome change. My 2 main negatives are : 1 the mixer should be sold with the beater/ scraper combo (it comes with 3 types of beaters but this isn’t one of them). This beater is essential for creaming butter and sugar or making butter cream. 2. I find it difficult to add the flour whilst the machine is in operation with out spilling it. The Artisan comes with a cover and Shute. I’m not sure why Kitchenaid thought this was not necessary.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wenji from Nice and quiet I have used this over the last month and it’s a nice solid machine with a relatively quiet motor. Not as strong a motor as my last (other brand) machine but good enough for the home kitchen. (So far, I haven’t made anything too adventurous yet) The pros for me are the quality accessories. The whole thing is sturdy and solid. Cons: the bowl has no handle and the release to lift the stand head up and down is on one side of the machine whilst the adjustment for the speed is on the other. Means I have to reach around the machine to use one dial. Kind of frustrating

Rated 4 out of 5 by Onlylisa from Sturdy and Reliable Bought this because I needed a new mixer and the price was right. It does everything I need it to do very well. It’s sturdy and easy to use. Very affordable. My only criticism is that you have to scrape the sides of the bowl and for that reason I wish the scraper attachment was available for this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hanniegeb from Work horse Purchased this a week ago and love it. It’s got a good solid motor and runs rings around my old mixer. I would love to see a sheet included in the box with what attachements are compatible with this model as the website is unclear. Also I was disappointed not to receive a cook book at all to help kick of using my new KitchenAid when I read that others had received them in different models. But overall very happy with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Maggie May from Easiest to use mixer I ‘m very happy with this mixer, as it’s very easy to change attachments even with arthritic fingers. The only thing that would improve the initial setup, is to have the scrapper blade, instead of the dough hook.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nchwicks from Overrated? I was given this as a gift and so far I’m disappointed the hooks barely get to the bottom of the bowl so can’t mix Hingis well and the dough hook is virtually useless, I might as well mix the dough with my own hands.very disappointed and it’s not a cheap Purchase. Even though it’s not the top end of the product it’s still a lot of $$$.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HelenC from Simplicity Always wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer - bought one a couple of weeks ago - plan on using it regularly- first time today - making a baked lemon cheesecake - sooooo simple to use - very efficient and easy to clean. Would have been more convenient if the bowl had a handle. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jackie1977 from Great little mixer to use for everyday I bought it a week before mother's day and on the first use it started leaking oil from the head of the mixer. It eventually stopped i thought great, but then when i used it a few days ago i was beating some cream cheese once I finished beating lifted up the head and there was more oil dripping down. I ended up returning it back to the GOOD GUYS and got a refund because they didn't have another one to replace this one.
