Rated 1 out of 5 by Dr ES from Replacement after just over ONE year necessary. Indeed, it is a good looking kettle, and the red goes well with my other kitchen appliances. But good looks is not everything. I needed to replace the kettle because it stopped working after just over one year. Thanks to the warranty policy of the shop, replacing was not a problem. The problem with the kettle is that it lost the connection to its socket, so the electrical contacts of the kettle and its stand could not connect properly and sometimes the kettle worked but mostly not. For this amount of money: very poor performance. I've got a no-name kettle in my shed that is working for over ten years without any issues. Those days, I purchased it for less than a fifth of the KitchenAid price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Denby from A short term investment After seven months of use this KitchenAid Electric Kettle is showing signs of failure. 1: The press button on the lid top fails to open the lid 1 in 3 times. This fail-to-open issue occurs even if the kettle is hot, warm or cold. 2: The electrical connection between kettle and base is also beginning to lose contact on occasions, and the kettle must be removed and repositioned to hopefully connect. For a kettle costing a three figure sum it really is of the quality you would find in a bargain basement K-Mart kettle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pav1 from Excellent We got this 5 days ago, and so far it has been excellent. When the water boils at the highest temperature, it is definitely hot, and that's a good thing. It made me think that my previous kettle wasn't really that great as it didn't get as hot as this one. It's a very sleek, elegant and modern kettle. This kettle has amazing features!! I love the different temperature options and the blue light whilst watching the water boil. It literally makes watching water boil fun lols In saying that, I will give another review in a years time to really see how the product is performing, hopefully it'll be the same as when we first bought it.

How is your KitchenAid product performing? Like you’d expect a 2 day old kettle to perform, like a brand new kettle. What have you loved about it, and what do you think could be improved? It boils water - I love that. Though it would be better if it were a robot kettle that cleaned my house after making me a cup of tea. Let us know what you have been whipping up! Tea. Mmmm whipped Tea. 2 Stars only as this review has been solicited far too early. Perhaps invite comment at the end of the warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gayle from Great product - Shame about the handle problem. Sorry to say but we bought this kettle less than a year ago and the handle is about to fall off. We cannot see a way to secure it to the body. Hopefully the replacement policy will effective.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Deon from Terrible Experience I've purchased a KitchenAid Blender, Food Processor, Kettle, Toaster, Stand Mixer in the last 30 days and the experience with the Whirlpool (holding company of KitchenAid support) is absolutely horrendous. They were closed and unavailable on the days I ordered the product I needed support on, then refused to assist when I needed assistance and support on the order, and now are paying lip service and being absolutely condescending in their replies. The KitchenAid product is quality, but the support and after sale experience in absolutely unacceptable and has put me off the brand totally.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ron F. from Quality questionable!!! I bought a Kitchen Aid electric kettle in 2018. It worked well - it boiled water, which is what I bought it for. Later that same year, Kitchen Aid advised of a recall on my kettle as it had a potentially faulty handle. My unit seemed OK however it was replaced under the recall regardless. Unfortunately, the replacement unit developed a fault in the lid - difficult to open - within a few months. This unit has now been replaced. Hopefully, this unit will last. Considering the three figure price I paid, I expected the quality to be much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rick from Good Features, Bad Lid! The only issue I have with this kettle is the flimsy catch on the lid, you have to press the button just right to get it to open. A shame as the quality of the kettle seems very good otherwise. It is the lid that stops me from giving it 5 stars in all categories.
