I have only used it once..arrived friday (now sunday am and here’s the review request) but it is as quiet and efficient and the perfect colour for my kitchen. The flex edge beater isn’t a standard accessory. That would elevate any review. In any case i’ve ordered a spare SS bowl, the flex edge and Bowl cover pack from you as i got an online bargain with the stand mixer. When looking for extra bowl etc It took me eons to eventually find out that my model KSM170 is identical to the KSM160 EXCEPT for the paint colour! PLEASE include the KSM170 on all you product compatibility sites. It was only an intense google search and happening on a blog that gave me the answer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Spencer824 from Ace mixer, stupid glass bowl, no customer service My second mixer, first one with a glass bowl. I was worried it wouldn’t last but given kitchenaid’s name and my previous experiences I thought it should be ok. However after a year or two of light residential use the glass bowl shattered kneading a chibatia dough! Emailed kitchen aid about a month ago with no response! Plenty of marketing emails though. I own most attachments for the stand mixer and 4 other kitchaid appliances, all bought as my first stand mixer is a beast and still going strong. Clearly the glass bowl is a marketing move, but it doesn’t live up to the brands heritage. The only thing more disappointing is the customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ali73 from The best customer service ever I was given this mixer as a Christmas present and am so happy with the outstanding finish of the candy apple platinum paint finish. The mixer delivers the same high quality performance that I've learnt to expect of the Kitchenaid brand and comes with a beautiful glass bowl that is great for whipping and mixing (glass bowl not recommended for use with dough mixing). Additionally, the remarkable high level of customer service I received during after sale was the best I've experienced in many years. Keep up this level of customer service Kitchenaid. It's a welcomed surprise to see today and speaks volumes about the superb quality of the Kitchenaid brand

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marilu from Great features! I bought this 4 days ago and was so excited to use it so I baked a simple cake last night and was happy. However, I , being elderly, find the unit quite heavy hence will deter me to use it often. Also the glass bowl is heavy and find difficulty to empty the batter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarah from Happy customer! I bought this (for my husband to give me for my birthday) to replace a basic handheld mixer I had that was dying. It was an expensive upgrade but worth it! The mixer is quiet, solid and doesn't move when mixing. I think I baked the cake I was making in half the time just because of the convenience of this mixer! Easy to use, quality make and the pearl finish is beautiful! Best birthday present ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Susan from I love the colour I already had a KitchenAid mixer but was never happy with the colour. I have a new house now and wanted a show piece that really stood out. The Raspberry Ice with the glass bowl really looks stunning in the white kitchen. As to performance, I actually think is works better than my old one. I was thinking of selling that but the other day I was able to whip up two chocolate pavlovas and once so maybe I'll just keep in the cupboard for those cooking extravaganzas I am planning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mike W from Avoid at all costs, poor customer support! Have used my Kitchenaid stand mixer KSM-170 several times now. To make pasta dough and cakes. In the dough making function/exercise the mixer is really unstable and you need to hold the units head firmly. Have adjusted as requested by KitchenAid. Spoken to support. Same issue after the adjustment. The mixer has been a very disappointing purchase.
