Rated 5 out of 5 by Dutchdi from BEST MICROWAVE EVER I Got the Bake Assist Microwave Oven as an Anniversary Present from my Husband and Son and I am in Love with it. I have only had it for just over a week and its amazing what it can do and all the features it has I have so far made the Meatloaf and the Roast Chicken in the microwave and it turned out fantastic better than I though it would and I am still learning all the features on it but so far so good. I couldn't wait to get it and it was well worth the wait. It sits on my bench in the kitchen along side my Kitchen Aid Mixer. Thank you Kitchen Aid for Bringing out this beautiful Microwave Oven I am looking forward to getting many years use out of this little beauty. I Cant wait to show it off to all my friends and to show them what it can do. So Thank You Once Again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by De4567 from Lovely microwave/oven. So happy with this microwave, so easy to use. Have used it to heat up food and to bake cakes. Can't fault it. So simple to use and easier to clean than a normal oven. Have recommended this to few family members, however, due to its size it's challenging if you have a smaller kitchen counter. Be good idea if it came in a slightly smaller size too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wjay from Fantastic all in one appliance I purchased this oven 12 months ago and have been using it religiously every day since. I was unsure about spending over $200 on a microwave and I'm sure there's a few others out there that are too - so I thought I would write this review to help if anyone is on the fence. -The microwave is fast and heats evenly - using the 'reheat' feature it switches itself off once the food has reached temperature (without drying out the edges or leaving cold spots). The wattage can be adjusted easily and it does have a jet start button (pushing the silver button gives you 30 seconds). The unit is rated at 800watts microwave energy - I found this to still be fast, if not more gentle on reheating things in tupperwear containers (less dried edges). -Crisp mode combines convection heat, grill and also a crisping pan to give your food that 'fried' effect without needing copious amounts of oil - I find this feature works better than my air fryer as it uses the microwave energy to cook the food on the inside as well as the radiant heat from the grill and pan. Convenience food is done in half the time and these ovens make the crispiest pies I've ever made (Set it to pie mode, dial in the weight and it does the rest). Reheating pizza brings it back to life on the crisp plate - no more soggy crusts. -The included steaming accessory is handy for doing vegetables and fish - the microwave adjusts the power in steam mode so it doesn't dry out the vegetables. The steaming accessory is also a handy to cook and strain pasta in. -'Bake Assist' menu is intuitive and well thought out, with automatic menus for chocolate cakes and choc chip cookies (which turn out fantastic on the crisp plate). The microwave has a 'dough rising' mode that rises the pizza dough I make perfectly every time. -The microwave has a varied assortment of pre set dinner items with recipes in the manual, my Sunday roast is now done in the KitchenAid on the crisp plate and the skin turns out crispy, the meat tender and not once has it been dry (using 'roast chicken' pre set). Whilst the chicken is resting I set the oven to 'crisp' mode and crisp up the vegetables and reduce the pan juices to make a gravy. -'Combination Mode' is fantastic for evenly heating a lasagna or apple pie whilst also browning the outside of the dish. -Defrost mode I wasn't particularly impressed with as I felt it was too strong - I'm quite fastidious with defrosting meat as I don't want it to heat or cook, so I set the microwave power to the lowest setting and check every 5 minutes if I do need to defrost something. -Grill mode is really handy for gently toasting large slices of sourdough bread with the high rack provided. The grill uses a traditional radiant style grill instead of halogen lamps, which has a much wider coverage in the oven although one drawback it does take a moment to heat. If you're used to grilling toasted sandwiches, sausages or meat under an electric grill, I'd recommend using the 'crisp' mode as grill mode is quite gentle. -Convection mode is great for baking, it's a very gentle heat and incorporating the turntable gives for very even results. The heating element is in the back of the oven so make sure you use the low rack for air circulation underneath and use traditional style baking pans instead of ceramic bake ware (for brownies etc). It does take about 5 minutes to pre heat. Once the oven has reached temperature - make sure you set the timer as it will switch off after 60 seconds and need to pre heat again if the timer isn't set. -Cleaning the microwave is straightforward - the crisp plate is non stick and rinses off with a wash cloth. The grill is 'self cleaning' but the self clean mode on the microwave really only steams the unit up. I use a non abrasive cream cleanser after cooking a roast to clean the stainless interior. Overall, if you're looking for an all in one countertop oven that bakes, roasts, fries, steams and everything in between - this is the one. It's a perfect companion to a KitchenAid mixer. The only criticisms I have about the unit are overshadowed by how it performs in all other areas. KitchenAid have friendly and helpful after sales support and shipping only took a few days to arrive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kuhn53 from Cooks Great Food I bought the KitchenAid convection microwave about a week ago, cooked a tasty melt in the mouth roast pork and the best roast vegetables - delicious. The "finished" beep is loud but I am getting used to it. The low rack is too small for the glass turntable and keeps falling off when removing the baking dish, the high rack fits better. Over all very happy with my purchase

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kazzie 59 from It’s ok I bought this a month ago when my whirlpool microwave/convection oven died. It has a few drawbacks compared to my old one. The first is, although the lid comes down,it isn’t flat and bounces back. If you want to pull something out and sit it on the lid, be careful. Secondly, if you are making microwave jam, it is impossible to see through the front as it is too dark, and the control panel is so large it obscures the food. Thirdly the ventilation isn’t too great, if I am cooking something for a couple of minutes, eg carrots, the inside gets a lot of condensation in it and I have to wipe it out. Disappointed that kitchenaid, with its whiz bang technology has not designed this new product well. Thirdly, and this is my fault, I lost my cookbook somewhere. Australian Kitchenaid couldn’t help with a hard copy, all they could suggest is I try their head office. Guess what, when you try and get their head office, it redirects you to the Australian site.
