Beautiful toaster
I love my kitchen items to match so I gravitated to buying this super expensive pro line model to match my pro line mixer. I had been eyeing it for years and took the plunge when my Breville finally died after 15 years. It roasts evenly and I love the keep warm function whilst I multi task. I was only disappointed by the lack of videos or instructions to use all features, I could not work out how to grill a toasted sandwich in it as it’s so expensive I’m not about to melt cheese all through it so still haven’t done this. Please KitchenAid do decent demonstrations of your products online and more in depth instructions. I had the same experience with my pro line blender, for the price I am paying I expect to be given this.

Almost perfect
Bought the white (to match my mixer) version nearly two years ago to replace a cheap toaster which had died. It is expensive, but works perfectly and I have no complaints with its advertised functions, although have never used the muffin setting or tried to toast sandwiches in it. Love the auto down, auto raise and the keep warm. At 6 kgs in weight, this toaster is not flimsy.
It's a shame for those buyers with families, we don't get the 4-slice version (weighing almost 9 kilos!) which is available to the US but not us.
The only things I wish for, apart from a lower price, are a high lift lever, and a slightly louder 'ding' signifying it is done, since it is sometimes easy to miss this in a noisy kitchen.

Best present for myself
I bought it as a birthday present for myself. Was deciding between the single slot KA toaster or this but I was so drawn to the gentle “descent” and “ascent” of the bread like an elevator lol. My previous toaster eject my bread into the air. I also love this with the function that it lowers the bread after 45s and keeps it warm till I am ready to take it. The crispness is spot on with the perfect brownness. No regrets even if I could buy 10 of a regular toaster. This toaster sits beautifully with my Kitchenaid mixer. Only worrying part is it didn’t turn off once and I had to unplug the mains to reset it. Let’s hope it’s a one time fault.

Look over performance
Solid attractive toaster but disappointing that this very expensive toaster only browns on the highest setting. We mainly use wholemeal sourdough so not supermarket bread with sugar. And this setting is the only one that browns and it takes the longest time to toast! Would expect to have more choice with how toasted I would like my bread! The beep isn't loud at all so given it takes a long time we appreciate the beep which means we know when it's done. Depth of slots is good if a bit short in length. Toast warmer is a good function. I chose "cast iron black" because I thought it would be the most hard wearing but within 2 weeks this has chipped at the bottom. I should contact warranty which is such a pain!

Terrible- as a toaster it fails!
I bought this product over 6 months ago - within 2 months it stopped working properly. It either only toasts in full so it burns your bread or on setting 1 so it takes multiple times making it very frustrating. I have also contacted kitchen Aid and had no help after a month and it’s several emails sent. Poor customer service!!

Fabulous features & looks fabulous in my kitchen
Love this machine. Pop the bread in & it automatically takes the bread down, the lights on the toaster show jar far it has to go in the toasting process, gives a nice little ‘bing’ sound when finished and if you’re not ready for your toast, it will pop it back down automatically to warm. Easy to clean. It also has a sandwich roasting rack which I haven’t used yet.
Like every other Kitchenaid item I have, it looks beautiful and works beautifully and Customer Support are lovely, helpful people.
