KitchenAid is excited to launch Australia’s biggest virtual bake-off to help raise important funding for the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).

The 10,000 Cupcakes Challenge is calling on Australians to get creative in the kitchen. All bakers have to do is upload a post of a homemade cupcake to social media, alongside the hashtags: #10000CUPCAKES, #KITCHENAIDAUNZ and #BCNA.

For every original photo or video of a cupcake shared on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, KitchenAid will donate $1 to the organisation up to $10,000.

Part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the social fundraising campaign aims to raise $10,000 for the charity. These valuable funds help provide women in Australia and New Zealand affected by breast cancer with information, support and care when they need it most.

The Breast Cancer Network Australia says: “The current statistics show that one in twelve Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, so driving awareness is an important part of our role. The more people who can get involved in KitchenAid’s 10,000 Cupcake Challenge, the more funds will be raised, so we’d encourage everyone to get baking. It’s a simple use of social media that will help the charity to support, inform, represent and connect Australians affected by this disease.”

All images can be searched by the hashtags #10000CUPCAKES #BCNA #KITCHENAIDAUSNZ. The fundraising initiative will run throughout October and November 2016.
KitchenAid has supported the Breast Cancer Network Australia and New Zealand for the past 10 years with a monetary donation* made from the sale of every Pink, Raspberry Ice or Cranberry coloured stand mixer, blender, hand mixer or utensil.

So start posting on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook today! and don't forget the hashtags.
